Hello world! Introducing The Sandwich Press blog (because everything is better on a sandwich). Please welcome to the blogging scene myself, PixelChick, a NYC based game artist; and my cohort & coworker, graphic & web designer M². In this web blog we will be discussing technology, art, politics, that creepy guy who works in the next office over (he knows who he is), and anything else under the sun.

I’ll let M² introduce herself properly on her own, so here’s a bit about me:

I’m a 23 year old game artist from New York, specializing in 2D/3D character art & modeling. I’ve had a jones for videogames since I was 6 years old and my older brother put a little gray rectangle in my hand and said “here, hold down the red button until I get back from the bathroom”. The year was 1991, the game was Final Fantasy 1, and I’ve never been the same since. Nowadays, when I’m not working my way through classic 8 & 16 bit game titles or raiding Gruuls Lair, I spend most of my waking hours working at my internship/unpaid full-time job as a flash animator/content writer/whatever- needs-to-get-done-go-to-gal at xxxx game company (no names, I’d like to keep said job, thank you very much), playing Dungeons & Dragons, and trying to hide from the sun (I think it’s trying to kill me).

Now you know a bit about me. Sit back, grab a Red Bull, and prepare to be dazzled by our tales of exciting office derring do, random enemy encounters, and why cats possess the seemingly miraculous ability to immediately gravitate towards the only asthmatic in the room.
